When You Can Enroll
You can elect accident insurance within 31 days of becoming benefits eligible, during Open Enrollment, or within 31 days of a Qualifying Life Event.

What to Know

• This insurance helps cover costs from certain accidents or injuries outside of work.
• It does not replace medical coverage.
• Payouts depend on the injury and care needed (e.g., $1,000 for a hospital admission, $150 for ER visit, and $25 for a follow-up visit).
• Available for you and your covered dependents.
• This plan pays a $50 benefit for one Be Well screening each year for you and other covered family members. The eligible screenings include:
  • Annual exams by a physician, including sports physicals and well child visits, and dental and vision exams.
  • Cancer screenings including pap smear and colonoscopy.
  • Immunizations including HPV, MMR, tetanus, and influenza.
  • Cardiovascular function, cholesterol, and diabetes screenings.

Example

While riding a bike, Terry’s daughter swerved to miss a ball on the ground, fell, and broke her arm. She had an ER visit, follow-up doctor visits, and physical therapy. These expenses add up quickly.
